Imagine a place where the sea collides with jagged peaks, where emerald fjords weave through snow-dusted mountains, and the Northern Lights dance across an endless Arctic sky.
This is Senja – Norway’s hidden gem

Master Sunrise and Sunset Photography in Norway’s Arctic Light
Senja’s magic truly comes alive at sunrise and sunset – the golden hours that every landscape photographer dreams of. On our Senja photography tour, you’ll learn to capture the island’s stunning fjords and mountain peaks as they glow under Arctic light. Small group sessions ensure you have time and space to set up the perfect shot. We’ll teach you how to shoot dramatic long exposures, and work with ever-changing weather. If you want to improve your sunrise and sunset photography, Senja offers endless opportunities – and the support to get it right.
Hands-On Landscape Photography Workshops in Senja, Norway
Our landscape photography workshops in Senja are crafted for photographers who want more than pretty pictures – they want real skills and deeper understanding. Guided by a passionate photographer, you’ll explore Norway’s second-largest island and learn how to work with light, and master composition. Whether you’re just starting out or refining your craft, our workshops provide personal guidance in stunning natural settings. Imagine shooting dramatic coastlines, hidden beaches, and rugged peaks – with a guide at your side to help you get every detail right.
Learn How to Use Camera Filters Like a Pro
Senja’s ever-shifting Arctic light is the perfect place to master camera filter techniques. Our tours include practical lessons on using ND filters for long exposures, polarising filters to cut glare and boost colours, and graduated filters for balanced skies and foregrounds. With real-time feedback and tips, you’ll feel confident using filters to elevate your landscape photography.
Small Group Photo Tours for a Deeper Connection
We believe great photography happens when you can slow down and truly connect with your surroundings. That’s why our Senja small group photography tours are kept intimate – no crowded buses or rushed stops. You’ll share sunrises on remote beaches, discover amazing viewpoints, and wait for the perfect Arctic light alongside a few like-minded adventurers. With plenty of time for questions and one-on-one support, you’ll return home with breathtaking shots and new friendships. If you’re looking for small group landscape photography tours in Norway, Senja is where quiet moments turn into unforgettable images.
Unlike the busier photography tours in places like Lofoten, where you often find yourself dueling with crowds of photographers for the same shot, Senja remains refreshingly off the beaten track. Here, you’ll discover vast, untouched landscapes with few other photographers around.
In search of the Northern Lights
Few experiences compare to standing beneath Senja’s dark Arctic sky as the Northern Lights dance above. Unlike busy spots like Tromsø or Lofoten, Senja is blissfully off the beaten track – offering wide-open spaces and minimal light pollution for stunning aurora photography.
On our Senja photography tours, you’ll chase the aurora for clear skies and dramatic backdrops. In a small group, you’ll have plenty of room to set up and shoot. Learn to master long exposures and low-light settings as green ribbons swirl overhead.
Remember that the Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon – their appearance depends on ideal conditions like clear skies, good weather, and strong solar activity. While we do our best to maximise your chances, the aurora borealis remains wonderfully unpredictable.
